Moscow, the Beginning

Click on for a peek at us dancing in a basement, the first day on the job attempting to choreograph some hot moves for a small section of Going Postal. The short shorts didn't make the final cut, although a few of the moments when none of us (mainly Mr. Blue shorts) knew what we were doing are still in there. The song is Moskau performed by Dschinghis Khan.

The story behind this dance portion of the show is a bit of an odd one. A few of us were tipped onto the song (which if you don't know it, you most definitely should hop on the Russian equivalent of iTunes and download it) by accident one afternoon, by a friend of ours who thought it was just the most hilarious thing he had ever heard. After a quick YouTube cut and paste, we found that the lore extended much beyond the boy-band meets folk-choir meets action-sequence that is the audio, into a fully staged live performance. We instantly knew this was something we had to learn/do/love, and it found it's home nestled into the center of Going Postal's Zombie Train Apocalypse (the train wasn't a Zombie, but was over taken by them). If that seems random and strange, then you best be seeing the show. Because is it.
